Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by the VIAMOR team to explain what data the VIAMOR app collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. It describes the app as it works today and is updated when the app changes.
Information we collect
- Account details. The email address and password you provide when registering. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider — we never see them.
- Destination searches. The city, country and country of citizenship you enter, so we can generate your briefing and attribute sponsored offers to a search.
- Trip preferences. Itinerary pace, interests and recent searches. These are stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
- Sign-in activity. Timestamp, browser/device description and coarse session details recorded when you sign in, used to detect unusual account access.
- Sponsored-offer analytics. When a sponsored listing is shown, clicked, or leads you out to a partner site, we record that event with the placement, advertiser and related search.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, payment card details, or special-category personal data.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To generate destination briefings, itineraries, weather summaries and news reels for the places you search.
- To remember your preferences so you don't re-enter them.
- To measure how sponsored listings perform, so advertisers can be billed and offers stay relevant.
- To diagnose errors and keep the app reliable.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Our hosting, database and authentication provider, which stores your account, searches and analytics on our behalf.
- Our AI provider, which receives the destination, country and citizenship you type in order to generate the briefing. It is not sent your email address.
- Advertisers and partners, who receive aggregated performance figures (impressions, clicks, hand-offs, conversions) — never your email address or individual identity.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
Choosing a sponsored offer opens the partner's own website. Once you leave VIAMOR, that partner's privacy policy applies to anything you do there.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session token to keep you signed in and browser local storage for recent searches, citizenship and trip preferences. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Clearing your browser storage removes the preferences held on your device.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. Searches and sponsored-offer events are retained for reporting and then removed or aggregated. You can ask us to delete your account and associated records at any time using the contact address below, and locally stored preferences can be cleared by you at any time.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Send your request from the email address on your account and we will respond.
Children
VIAMOR is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
If we change what we collect or how we share it, we will update this page. Questions or privacy requests: privacy@viamor.info.
